On April 12th, 1961, Yuri Gagarin became the first human to enter space and orbit the Earth.

Exactly 20 years later, on April 12th 1981, the Space Shuttle made its maiden flight from the Kennedy Space Center.

Yuri's Night celebrates the anniversary of these momentous events in modern history. Join us at London Hackspace on April 12th to celebrate 50 years of human spaceflight and toast the end of the Space Shuttle program.

What?
