WIFI Problems

We have had problems with the wifi for some time currently. This page is for logging who has what issues to see if there is anything in common. Please include OS, OS Version, wifi hardware chipset (as much info as you can give), and wifi driver version (whatever info you can give) and whether your wireless card is 802.11a/5GHz capable.

There seems to be 2 issues:

Intermittant disconnections

Wifi works most of the time but every few hours or so you get disconnected and immediatly reconnected. Before being disconnected boole can't do ipv6 neighbour discover for your address (and can't ping you), ipv4 works fine!

People having this issue:

Jasper:

OS: Debian 7, 3.2.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.2.51-1 x86_64 GNU/Linux (stock debian kernel)
Wifi chipset: Atheros Communications Inc. AR242x / AR542x Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) (rev 01)
ath5k phy0: Atheros AR2425 chip found (MAC: 0xe2, PHY: 0x70)

Wifi dosn't work at all, or very little

Seems to only affect clients with Broadcom chipsets?

People with systems having this issue

Insert your details here :)

Nin Lil'izi:
Kernel: Linux Ninki 3.12.1-2-ck #1 SMP PREEMPT
Chip: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller (rev 01)
Module: wl
Problem: IPv6 works perfecty. Ipv4, will not receive any packets. Not even DHCP responses or broadcasts. Sent packets received fine.
Module: brcmsmac
Problem: Till a week or 2 ago had same problem as WL... Now receives ipv4, but only functions in speeds that feel like dialup.

Problem only occured a few months back after having worked perfectly uptil that point.

UPDATE: connecting to londonhackspace2 works perfectly.
