New Space

The search for the space is picking up speed now, with a visit to some interesting venues on Thursday.

Makerbot

After more work by One Glen And His Dog on Thursday, the new head is now working, but now the build platform seems to be causing trouble!

Magnus has been continuing work on his Arduino GSM detector/thermal printer/video project.

Visitors

Rokp came to visit from the Cyberpipe hackerspace in Slovenia. He said the London Hackspace was "more of a hackerspace", but then added that Cyberpipe has a private cinema.

James from Tog in Ireland also visited. They're moving to a new larger, more central place in Dublin soon, and applying for non-profit status.

Jonty visited Noisebridge and came back inspired, but too tired for JET (see below).

Equipment

The G4 has been pronounced dead and is free to be cannibalised.

Aden contacted Travis Goodspeed, who is sending us some GoodFETs to play with.

Events

An array of geeks went to the JET open evening and took pictures.

If anyone missed on the mailing list, there's a demonstration of Babbage's difference engine 7:15pm at the Science Museum tonight (that's if you're not going to the monthly meeting at the Trampery).
