Hello London Hackspace;

I've been involved with the Festival of Britain's 60th anniversary exhibitions on the southbank centre. I'm organising a workshop weekend in August and came in last week when I met Mike (Arduino) to discuss if LHS would be interested in taking part.

I'm not sure if he's mentioned anything to you yet, but the idea of the weekend is to get people away from their office desks, into the workshop and making things again. As well as woodwork, 3D printing, printmaking; it would be great if LHS could run a workshop on soldering/electonics/fun projects. We can have a couple of tables where a group of you can make your own projects as well as set up a few small projects that members of the public can take part in.

If you're interested in taking part, please email me and I can give more detail. Would it be best if I arranged a time to come to the space when more people are around so I can explain a bit more?

The dates for the workshops are saturday 13th and sunday 14th August, and would take place in the Royal Festival Hall on the Southbank.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Jing, you might want to email this to london-hack-space@googlegroups.com. We'd love to get involved, but you'll get more feedback on the list. Ms7821 07:56, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
