| Before bringing a vehicle to the space to be worked on (this does not include temporary parking) for more than a day, please read the below carefully and follow the process outlined below.
| | Vehicle projects are not permitted as we do not have a private yard. |
| | |
| Requirements:
| |
| | |
| * Vehicles being worked on should have at least 3rd party, fire & theft insurance.
| |
| * You will usually be asked for a returnable deposit to cover disposal should you abandon the project.
| |
| | |
| NB:
| |
| | |
| * When working on any kind of vehicle either in the yard or inside the building, consider carefully the likely impact on other members and the possibility of damage to or pollution of the hackspace. It is not usually permitted to bring any vehicle larger than a motorcycle into the building
| |
| * The yard is dirty, has poor CCTV, considered fairly insecure and actively has a lot of projects being worked on. Your vehicle is left at your own risk and may be subject to accidental damage including risk to tyres from debris etc. Please use your common sense when parking so you do not block people in or park in a way to cause annoyance.
| |
| * You may be asked for details on exactly what you're doing, how you're dealing with waste (including oil etc) and may be challenged on timescales.
| |
| * Please be aware that on occasion the yard may be exceptionally busy and you may be asked to delay your project (this isn't a refusal, it's first come first served.
| |
| | |
| To submit a request, please follow the same process to request storage for "Big Items" as outlined above. Vehicle storage usually generates a lot of interest and may take longer to reach consensus.
