With PK samples, perhaps should have centrifuged before precipitation step to remove solid debris, then continued with precipitation and other centrifuging

Extraction 6/3/13

Just for the record, I ran an intro session today where we did extractions for Sam (a friend of mine who was visiting) and Mellie. We did chelex extraction according to standard protocol and ran the results on a gel with a sample from last saturday's intro session as positive control. Mellie's sample worked nicely. Sam's didn't, but we broke the well while pipetting it in, so it probably just spilled and didn't run. Both samples are in Eppendorfs in the freezer now. - Bene 01:08, 7 March 2013 (UTC)
