There's been interest in exploring brain-computer interfaces - ie, ways to read a human's brainwaves and use the output for either art, or controlling software and hardware.

NeuroSky MindSet
- The helmet that seems to be the most practical for tinkering around (thoughts?). "(...)uses proprietary algorithms to calculate the observed types of brain behavior(...)"
- I've just bought one of these and my first impression is that it's hard to tell which sucks worse, the software or the hardware... but I'll give it another try next week and report back here. --AndyE 23:49, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

- You are after the [SDK|http://developer.neurosky.com/] - just follow the 'store' link and order it (it is $0.00) and you get emailed a free download link a few minutes later. (And unlike AndyE - does work really rather well for User:dirkx).
