Hackspace Move/Timeline

Important: this is not authoritative. It's just a guideline for people who want to understand what's remaining. Please speak to the [contacts] to find out what the current state is.

Cremer St Preparations

• Agree on Cremer St restoration with landlord
• Cremer St cleanup
• Our Cremer Street lease ends on the 30th April
• We need Cremer street to be clear so we can restore it by the 20th/21st April, but 13th/14th would be better.

Hackney Road preparations

Access

• Get a locksmith to fit an electronic release on the back door.
• Get override keys cut for every trustee for the back door release.
• Get doorbot installed on the back door, running on an offline card DB. (Looking at Jasper, Mark and Charles here)

Services

• Russ: take initial water & gas meter readings
• organise rubbish collection (get a skip?)
• Get an internet connection working - this may also require a phone line connecting, although I have a vague memory of Jasper saying the phone was already connected. Basic wifi follows on from this. (Jasper?)
  • Phone lines are connected by still being paid for, so we can't take them over. New line will be fitted 27/3/2013
  • FTTC internet ordered from Zen

Decisions

• Finalise layout

Hackney Road build-out

• Install the large classroom walls.
• Get a lift engineer out to verify that the lift really is safe to use and place heavy loads in.
• Install ventilation downstairs, routed outside. (Charles?)
• Change current Fire Exit door in basement so it's solid rather than a grill, possibly by panelling with plywood (Pic)
• Networking, including patch panels downstairs

Hackney Road move

• Obtain/make equipment for move and fit-out. Moving skates made from scrap wood and castors, Larger ladder for access in new space which has quite a high ceiling
• Start setting up workspaces, workshop, shelves
• MOVE ALL THE THINGS
• Deadline : 20th/21st April, but 13th/14th would be better
