- Maxwell's equations Friday 1st Nov Crystal Palace radio and electronics club. So basically light and radio waves are an electric field and a magnetic field polarised at 90degrees to each other, the changing mag field produces an electric field, the changing electric field produces a magnetic field so the pair of them disappear off into the distance at the speed of light and beyond that the maths and physics are incomprehensible to most people. Perhaps this lecture will make it all clear
