Possible sources of cheap kitchen appliances (we need an oven & hob)

Fridge
We already have a fridge.
Oven
Something good, with a glass door. We want to see the yummy stuff as it cooks.
A bad oven can seriously impede caek baek, and can use much more electricity than necessary.
Hob
Induction has been suggested, which would be safer, but costs ~£30-£50 more. A ceramic hob (electric or induction) will be easier to keep clean than a metal one.
As always, if there's something going cheap or free, it might be better to get it as a start.
