News for 30th March

We'll definitely be getting some more chairs, as we saw another record Tuesday turnout. As the weather improves, people are starting to turn up during the week. Pop onto IRC to find out if anyone's planning to go.

Space

The space at Somerset House has been delayed, probably for 6 months. This is due to necessary work on the fire escapes, which apparently hasn't been budgeted yet.

Equipment

In the mean time, we're investigating ways to stop the leak and a dehumidifier, before we get any sensitive equipment. This isn't such a problem over summer, but makes sense to be prepared this autumn.

Google UK are interested in showcasing MakerBots at their Zeitgeist event. We'll be arranging a demo some time next week.

As offered last week, Jasper brought a Dyson hoover, so next Tuesday will feature "tidy up the Hackspace".

Caffeine

Bob provided an espresso machine for fixing. It looks quite solid, and we'll hopefully have it going by next week.

Jonty provided some teaspoons, for those who prefer tea.
