Scenario

Our heroes (3-6) battle through grunts (3-4, reused), past stage bosses (2-3) to get to their end goal.

This is the same game style used in the tv show xfire.

Weapons

Our heroes come equipped with their own nerf guns, but with a set amount of ammo, and no side arms.

Grunts have low powered side arms, such as the N-Strike Nite Finder, and with few rounds.

Stage bosses have high end, possibly specialised, guns, such as a sniper, or dual wielding.

Game walk through

Goal orientated, time limited game.

Our heroes are dropped at the start point, and are quickly confronted by the first wave of grunts. The aim of the grunts are to slow the heroes in progressing rather than to take them out. While this is true, should the heroes make very bad decisions they may loose members of their team to grunt attacks.

Once all or most grunts are dealt with the first boss will make them self known to the heroes. Bosses have the power to command grunts, who must do what they are told (even if this results in their demise!) If the boss can take out members of the heroes team they should aim to do so, but shear numbers should help the heroes to over come the boss.

Should the story need a discovery to lead the heroes along to their end goal, this should happen now. Either the boss will drop something for them, or would have been guarding the discovery.

They will then progress further (both physically and level wise), and encounter another wave of grunts. (this will be the same players as before, but they are not "respawned" till the first boss is down) Again the next boss will appear to attack the team.

Once the boss is down, if the number of players permit then a 3rd wave of the same format will occur. If not, or the 3rd wave have happened, the heroes will be free to achieve their goal and exit the play area.

Requirements to run

  • Players 3-6
  • NPCs 5-7
  • Judges 1-2
  • 1 low powered side arm per grunt
