Drop spindles will be used as the basic teaching spindle, you can either buy a very cheap one from somewhere like here: [http://www.forestfibres.co.uk/shop/article_AC19/Ashford-Student-Top-Whorl-Spindle.html?shop_param=cid%3D47%26aid%3DAC19%26 Forest Fibres] (I recommend the Ashford Student for its weight and balance)

We'll be using top-whorl spindles because they're easiest to learn on! Later I may buy a cheap wheel and bring it in if people are interested, but since they take up space and I don't want to clutter things I am unlikely to do that without a large number of people who want to actually use it.

Anyway, please register your interest here or on the Workshops page and I'll go about working out a date. If you can't make the date, I am usually at the hackspace on Wednesday evenings, so if you would like to learn, drop me an email and let me know you're coming along and I would be more than happy to show you how to spin :-)
