There's always people in the space during the daytime (afternoon/evening is better). However, you might have to tear someone away from their project to let you in and introduce you - this is usually not a problem, but you can't rely on it. Don't be put off if you find the shutters down at the front - we usually use the back gate, and there's a bell there.
