This page is for planning the build out of our new space at 447 Hackney Road.
This page had suffered from mission creep and became out of date, so has been removed.

Please note, this is for planning on bringing up a new space to the level we currently enjoy, not new things. (that can come after) This is so that we have a action and cost plan to maintain the level of our current space.

==Building Front==

* Planning permission on changing the frontage/signage
* Asking the Grafitti artist ([http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Eine Ben Eine]) that did the 'M' on the shutters if he's ok with us changing it to an 'H', maybe he could do it for us :P

==Basement==
* Panel basement Fire Exit with plywood
* Extraction for individual tools and room dust.
* Power distribution to the center of the room etc
* Moar network sockets around room ([[Project:Tool_Access_Control/Solexious_Proposal|ACnode]])
* Look at flooring situation

==Ground Floor==
* Moar network
* Mid room power
* Electric release on the rear door
* Building of classroom
* Draft proof louvre windows

==Car Park==
* Member access for car parking and bike storage. Can we use doorbot to restrict/enable access?
* Garden/bbq area.

==Facilities==

=== Internet ===
# identify location for servers & switches
# floodwire cat6 around both floors; need not be terminated immediately but installing wiring when empty is easier!

There are at least 2 live phone lines:
* 020 7729 4055
* 020 7729 7283

FTTC looks like it's available

===Storage===
*Members boxes
*Rarely-used equipment
*Supplies

==Disability considerations==
Probably a legal requirement as change of use likely on taking new place.
* Disabled-access toilet (Mobility bars, light switch) (doesn't ''have'' to be disab-only but preferable if can be)
* Low light switches (ask Sparky to certify?) or use ceiling-mounted pullcords full-height
* Entrance ramp
* Lower door laser
* All enclosed spaces should have an alarm cord: not only in case of someone disabled falling but also in case anyone overcome by fumes and can't escape
* General principle to not have power sockets at skirting level but always 3' off ground

==Total Costing==

The above will cost approximately - £xxx
