Used for growing G. hansenii or kombucha culture.
Protocol
- Using a balance weigh out the following and transfer to a 1 litre screwcap bottle:
- 100g caster sugar
- 1 teabag of black or green tea
- Add around 800ml of 100°C water
- Remove teabag after 15 minutes
- Add 100ml cider vinegar measured using a measuring cylinder
- Mix until all the additives are dissolved
- Make up to 1 litre with water
- Autoclave
