A fly press used primarily for shaping metal and punching holes in sheetmetal. Although an arbor or hydraulic press is better suited to this task, it can also be used for push-pull applications such as seating bearings or broaching

A set of sheetmetal punches are kept in the blue cupboard adjacent to the laser cutter. Be very careful to ensure correct matching of punches and dies, these are surprisingly expensive and delicate
