Revision as of 23:26, 2 April 2011

31/3 2011 a number of PCs were rescued from a workspace across the road.

Most of them are up for grabs, 1 or 2 may be repurposed for the Hackspace. If you would like one, please put your name next to it on the inventory list. If you have other plans or want parts of one, please write that down as well.

Dell Dimension specs:

  • 4x 2400 (2 taken /mars)
  • 1x 2300
  • 1x 2350
  • 2x 4550 (1 taken /mars)
  • 1x 8100 (if no one wants the whole machine, interested in weird RIMM memory - Sci)
  • 1x 5000 3GHz P4 with 1 GB of Ram 160GB sata harddisk. Currently being used as a replacement for difference in the main room.

Dell Optiplex:

Please leave the mentioned video capture cards in the space, we could really use them for cameras. --jonty. I've extracted a video capture card. It appears to be a Conexant Fusion based board. In my box.--Eb4890 14:50, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

All 3 video capture cards have vanished, i wanted one if there are any spare! --JasperWallace 18:08, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

Preferably whole machines should be reused, rather than making a box unusable by stripping it e.g. for memory.

On Monday 4 April any unclaimed machines will be taken to charity, probably either Computer Aid, Forest Recycling Centre or Eco computer systems.
