Prep

Days before

  • tweet: "First 'Young Hackspace' this Saturday with a group of six year olds. Health & safety prep! Hackers: store away your sharp objects!"
  • announce Health & Safety cleanup session for Friday night

Workshop prep

  • Tom/Will: plan the sequence of events; what do we need to prepare/organise/buy?
  • Find people who can set up the toys & demos (cf. below)

Friday night/Saturday morning

  • make a list of all the below once done to demonstrate preparedness
  • Hoover/clean the quiet room, entrance area, workshop area, ...
  • Unplug all power machines?
  • Store away sharp objects and deactivate open electric circuits
