Prep

Days before

• tweet: "First 'Young Hackspace' this Saturday with a group of six year olds. Health & safety prep! Hackers: store away your sharp objects!"
• announce Health & Safety cleanup session for Friday night

Workshop prep

• Tom/Will: plan the sequence of events; what do we need to prepare/organise/buy?
• Find people who can set up the toys & demos (cf. below)

Friday night/Saturday morning

• make a list of all the below once done to demonstrate preparedness
• Hoover/clean the quiet room, entrance area, workshop area, ...
• Unplug all power machines?
• Store away sharp objects and deactivate open electric circuits
• Turn off any open power sources
• Project:Spacensus#Powering_off Deactivate the people counter laser (it's about eye level for young kids)

Demos

• Tour of the space (what?)

  • Need: pen laser, smoke machine

likely:

• a Kinect interactive demo? (move/dance in front of a screen and see your silhouette projected in the style of an Apple iPod ad)
