[[User:Mentar|Mentar]]: Finally managed to replace the broken encoders, tried using photo transistor ones (4 pin) but in the end found more affordable 5 pin photo interrupters. Tested the z-axis and it seems to be working well after tightening the belt. Now onto finishing the software! Although the basic encoder count logic works ideall it needs proper PID control and be able to accept radians/angles
