The aim of this is to make better use of the space occupied by member storage shelves - checkout the existing layout and proposed layouts.
In summary I think the proposed layout is better because:
- Sticks out no further than current arrangement
- Provides more wall space for hanging storage
- Aisles are open and visible so might not so readily fill up with stuff
- End of aisle wall could be used for hanging
- Long items could be stored across shelves at the back, towards the wall
- Room to add another row of 6 shelves in a space where you could only add another 3 with the current arrangement
