Hosted by MathSpace
This talks event will be taken over by Chalkdust, a free maths magazine printed by students at UCL. There will be two talks by authors of articles in the second issue of Chalkdust:
  • 6:30 Puzzles and cake
  • 7:00 Artiom Fiodorov - Probability theory as an extension of logic
  • 7:30 Olly Southwick - Why hot water can freeze faster than cold water
  • 8:00 Questions, dicussion, etc

There will be plenty of free copies of the magazine available at the event, so come along and pick one up.

The editors are also keen to meet anyone who would like to contribute to a future issue of Chalkdust. So if there's something you'd like to write about, come along and tell them!

Future events

All talks listed here are provisional. If you would like to give a talk or suggest a non-talks event, please add it to a date here. For questions and discussion, use our mailing list.
