See linked user page. Desperate for /anything/ she is capable of as now in her 2nd decade of job hunting without any luck so far.

Dave Brown

Experience of near-real-time data capture, normalisation, storage and analysis. The solutions were typically bespoke as the requirements exceeded the capabilities of Commodity Of the Shelf Software on the affordable hardware of the time.

Data processing work has been done on: Windows NT, 2k and 2003; SunOS; Solaris 2.7, 2.8; other OSes since expired.

For the last 15 years, I have worked mainly in C++. Some smaller or older projects have used Perl, C, C#, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Pascal, Fortran 4, and various assembler and machine codes.

I am a good choice if you have difficult problems to address: as I can research the area; read the code; investigate the problem and propose solutions.

For support tasks on commonly used applications there are probably better people to contract.

I am a moderately competent geek: I use Linux for my personal software development platform, as all the source is available; Windows 7 for my netbook for the convenience; and support my partner's use of Apple laptop and phone.

Ruben Martin (aka wyan)

Experience with numeric/computational problem solving and data analysis in science (particle physics) and industry (quantitative analytics in front office banking).

My main language in the area is C++, but have experience using Fortran, Java and Python (with numpy/scipy), under Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. I am also a hobbyist Common Lisp and Clojure user and web developer, and enthusiastic about learning new technologies.

I am available for consulting and as a contractor, and occasionally for part-time gigs.

Martyn Price

I'm a student of Ethical Hacking for Computer Security at Northumbria university, looking for my 3rd year placement. Willing to work anywhere in the country. Current experience includes all the basic things like SQL, Webdesign (including JS + PHP only using text editors), C etc. over summer will hopefully be learning Python for a project which will be available to view on my blog (http://spectr3.blogspot.co.uk/) which is currently empty due to the project possibly impacting on other people on my course's assignment work. Other experience includes general tinkering and experimenting, building PC's, laptops etc. Also have a keen interest in penetrating wireless networks.

Jacko

Degree qualified Electrical and Electronic Engineer with a background in backend website scripting and programming. I have no problem understanding the most technical aspects of computer systems stack from the hardware up. Current interests include robotics and AI. My experimental focus includes using [Google Sites] and the all new (circa 2014) [Script Engine] which is looking like a good replacement for the AppEngine. Looking for permanent or contract work in hardware or software. Interesting development work prefered over run of the mill maintainance, but both considered. Contact me via the email in my username. Or phone 07454 696 878 and leave an email voice message if I'm not available. Be sure to quote the hackspace as the point of contact.
