The London MathSpace is a group which meets every other Friday to discuss mathematics. We host talks, problem-solving and programming events.

All our events are held at London Hackspace, 447 Hackney Road.

If you would like to do a talk or have any ideas for an event, please say so here or on our mailing list.

Even been to a pub quiz and wished that all the questions were about maths? Then this events is for you!

We will be using resources from the UKMT Team Challenge to run a team competition.

There will be three rounds:

Group Round
Each team is given 10 questions. 6 points for each one they can answer correctly in time.

Crossnumber
Each team splits into two parts. One part is given the down clues to a crossnumber, the other is given the across clues.

Relay
Teams divide into two parts to solve a four mathematical problems in 8 minutes. The solution to the first problem is required to solve the second problem and so on.

There will be cake to keep everyone happy during the competition and there will be prizes for the winning teams in each round and a grand prize for the overall winning team.

The competition will start at around 7pm. The cake will arrive at around 6:30pm.
