'''newsflash''' A 4-tank unit (with wash baths and a sink) is due to be auctioned on thursday 17th march. Maybe we could buy it and install it in place of the unit 23 sink ? Don't know what it will go for but I suggest not very much compared with new equipment .. maybe £30 to £150. --[[User:Artag|Artag]] 14:26, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
Link for auction mentioned above is [http://www.i-bidder.com/en-gb/auction-catalogues/w-and-h-peacock-auctioneers-and-valuers/catalogue-id-1715/lot-613670?showBidForm=true here].
It appears there may be a delay in getting a new account approved for bidding.
People on the mailing list ([http://groups.google.com/group/london-hack-space/browse_frm/thread/61856b516c834a85 thread]) seem to have reached a rough consensus to bid on it. Next up is to decide on how much to offer, this comes down to if we think it is a functional unit or if it might need spare parts (realistically we will be happy if the bubble etch works). (I havn't got time for the mailing list right now, you can use my £25 quid however you want, I'm thinking in the region of bidding £180 on it but whatever.  [[ajp]]
MS7821 is going to bid on it, allowing for the VAT and extra costs. We urgently need a plan for collection.
Artag is going to collect it: "Sorry - thought I'd made that clear from the start. The place is about 5 miles from my house, and I only needed to check it would fit the car, which it does, pretty well."
==The item==
A bubble etch tank, to etch out PCBs in.

While you can use a bowl and slosh enchant around, it is much better to use a bubble etch tank. It etches faster and, evenly.
